LandView DSS Pro (Decision Support System) is a full-featured crop production record keeping and management information system for farm managers, agribusinesses, agronomists and larger producers. It includes precision farming and decision support features, a fertilizer analysis module, an economic module, yield mapping and profit/loss mapping capabilities, and geographic information systems (GIS) features. It was designed with full global positioning system (GPS) and yield mapping analysis capabilities.
Landview's web-enabled DSS Pro and mapping software, as well as enhanced management summaries and farm benchmark comparisons, are available on a monthly per acre basis. Customers have secure access to their data 24 hours a day. Air photo images and acreage measurements are also available online. Cropping plans and budgets can be prepared online, and crop records are managed via the Internet.
By using aerial photographs of the land, this software can measure the size of fields, sloughs, creeks and other features. The software can use these measurements, along with satellite-tracked GPS yield data, to make precision farming maps. For less advanced requirements, farmers can use FarmView Record Keeper to record field histories and plan fertilizer and chemical applications as well as crop rotations.
