LandView Map Viewer
The LandView Map Viewer comes with the FarmView and LandView
software applications including the FarmView Record Keeper ©
and the LandView DSS ©. The LandView Map Viewer allows
you to browse and view farm maps along with the associated crop
production information, to calculate areas, and to print customized
maps.
LandView Mapper Pro
The LandView Mapper Pro is used to draw/create map entities
(e.g., farm fields, farm management areas, soil sampling areas,
soil landscape areas, etc. each contained in a separate map layer)
over a scanned image (e.g., aerial photograph), and to edit the
map information and attributes. The LandView Mapper Pro
has multi-layer capabilities, zoom features and GPS included.
The LandView Mapper Pro is used with the LandView DSS Pro
and the LandView Farm Setup Utility for crop production management
and site-specific precision farming decision support.
LandView Mapper Lite
The LandView Mapper Lite is lighter version of the LandView
Mapper that is used to draw/create map entities on three map layers
(i.e., farm parcels, farm fields and farm management areas) over
a scanned image (e.g., aerial photograph), and to edit the map
information and attributes. The LandView Mapper Lite is
used with the FarmView Record Keeper and the LandView Farm Setup
Utility for crop production record keeping, planning and management.
- Include air photos and maps. View land use and
other map features on an air photo image showing farm parcels
(e.g., quarter sections), farm fields, farm management areas,
soil landscape boundaries, soil sampling areas, and the location
of field observations. Maintain crop production and soil
fertility information for several farms for your farm clients.
- View crop production data, soil landscape features and
soil sampling information on a map overlay on an air photo
image.
- Print maps with labels: Print a map of the entire
farm or select groups of map entities for printing (with or without
labels).
- Calculate areas of map entities: farm fields,
farm management areas, soil landscape areas, and soil sampling
areas.
- Calculate lengths of map entities: fence lines,
roads, perimeters, etc.
- Use global positioning systems connectivity to record
point data and locations (e.g., weed observations and soil sampling
points) and to locate field and farm management area boundaries,
soil landscape features, and soil sampling locations.
- Map making and editing capabilities: create
entities, delete entities, replicate entities, change scale and
edit entity attributes (e.g., colour, border details, line styles,
hatch patterns, label locations, etc.).
