BCL Landview Systems Inc. (known as Landview Systems™ and Landview On-Line™) provides on-line agri-food production management, GIS and mapping solutions.
BCL Landview Systems Inc. is located in Alberta (Western Canada), a province with a thriving agri-food industry. Our parent company Barlott Consulting Ltd. (BCL) has been serving agricultural producers and agribusinesses since 1989 and started the development of the Landview software in 1992.
Landview Systems™ software has been commercially available in North America since 1997 and provides powerful and easy-to-use mapping, record keeping, precision farming and decision support tools for managing crop production information and making site-specific farming decisions. The Landview software and services are used by an extensive base of farm managers and agri-business enterprises. The systems were developed specifically for land resource and agri-food business applications. The standalone software, which works in a Microsoft Windows™ operating environment on a PC platform, is the basis for the on-line records management, GIS and mapping solutions Landview now offers.
The Landview principals and professionals have a proven track record in systems development and implementation as well as extensive experience in agribusiness, management, engineering and geology. The company has been involved in many feasibility studies, agronomic capability studies, environmental audits, and strategic business planning studies. These have been conducted for clients ranging from producer groups and agribusinesses to government agencies at the municipal, provincial and federal levels. Landview Systems™ has also worked closely with the Alberta Research Council through a joint venture business arrangement in the development of the core technology and in moving the Landview™ products and services on-line.
