This gives subscribers access to the exceptional value of farm benchmark comparisons. This will allow users to compare their farm production information to others with similar soils and climate or to others in a selected region or trading area. This benchmark comparison process allows users to objectively compare their performance to industry peers in their region, their province or nationally. This comparison can be made to averages or to the top segment (e.g., top half) of producers in the population. This process identifies strengths, weaknesses and opportunities for improvement.
Agribusiness users and producer groups using the records management and decision support capabilities can have production records of individual farm accounts included in the aggregate database for their company or organization. This gives agribusiness users access to the valuable management information summaries. The summaries of the georeferenced data can be aggregated by trading area and region as well as in tabular, graphical and map format. These data summaries will have multiple corporate uses including: inventory and warehouse management; transportation and distribution management; marketing and sales; financial management and analyses; and, contract and risk management.
