Trace-Back & Identity Preservation
 |
An increasing number of people want to know
where their food comes from and how it is produced. Informed
consumers want assurances that the inputs and the process used
to produce their food products are safe and consistent with sound
environmental protocol. These demands are creating an information
and technology gap where required information at the production
level is not available to the consumer. |
 |
Landview Systems
technology is being developed to address this knowledge gap through
the creation of the Foodview process. Foodview is
an innovative service that utilizes the Landview On-Line
technology to facilitate the transfer of targeted information
from the producer to verification and certifying bodies and ultimately
to the end consumer. The increasing importance of identity preservation
in the food production process in countries around the world
is a key driver. Consumers will be provided access to the assurance
that products meet their criteria of purchase. |

The Foodview Identity Preservation
System creates value by giving consumers information about the
activities used to produce food, and by providing certifying bodies
with a more effective and efficient means of verifying and recording
practices. Stake holders will have access to certification and
supplier protocols, and compliance records regarding environmental,
animal welfare, food safety, and food quality issues. In turn,
consumers interested in the attributes of their food source can
verify their purchase to the farm of origin.
